Dear Leatherwood Bass Players,

Commercial production of Leatherwood Double Bass Rosin is temporarily paused, in advance of recipe redevelopment and relaunch in early 2027

In our ongoing work to make the finest rosins we can, we've discovered a wonderful palette of new ingredients that, in testing, are delivering significant improvements to our bass rosins — in sound, playability and usability. We're now reformulating our full range of recipes and preparing to re-launch a new and improved range in early 2027.

This pause reflects something we hold at the heart of Leatherwood: a commitment to never stop testing, developing and improving our recipes. We believe great rosin is never truly finished, and we're dedicated to continually refining our craft — and to consulting closely with our players so that everything we make genuinely meets your needs. Honestly, we couldn't be more excited about this redevelopment and what it will bring to your playing.
